Born in Malatya, Turkey, Raziye Kubat graduated from the Painting Department and Practical Engraving Atelier, Faculty of Fine Arts, Mimar Sinan University in 1989. She participated in many group exhibitions and also presented her works in different conceptual contexts nationally and internationally. She continues to work independently in Istanbul. She has been sharing her experiences and knowledge on printing techniques, and her enthusiasm for the infinitive possibilities they provide with her students. Within the context of Istanbul European Cultural Capital in 2010, she taught engraving to the local kids in Kadirga in the course of one year. In 2012, with her work entitled “Sürgünlerin İzinde (On the Trail of Exiles)”, ‘Dalgın Sular” / Comics / Social Responsibility Project, she worked with Caucasian people living in Adapazarı. She also prepared many gravure workshop programs.
