The artist who performed the last solo exhibition named "Days" in April 2017 at Galata Rum School, lives and works in Istanbul. The artist, known for his work combining traditional materials such as watercolors and charcoal with innovative techniques, also has works based on space, three-dimensional works and a wide range of works including collective productions with artists from various disciplines. The contents of his works constitute city-city design and architecture, designed and spontaneous forms, repetition and coincidence, memory and recording.
Almila Akdag Salah studied at the Art History Department of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), focusing on techno-science art and its place in the art historical canon. She was one of the first Digital Humanities Fellows of UCLA. Upon completing her PhD, she became a Postdoctoral researcher with the Virtual Knowledge Studio (KNAW) – Knowledge Space Lab project, which contributes to the new research area of maps of science. Almila joined the Digital Methods Initiative (University of Amsterdam, New Media Studies) with a Veni grant on the online art platform deviantArt.
Aslıhan Şenel is an architect, design studio tutor and lecturer at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU). After receiving her bachelor and masters degrees in ITU, she completed her PhD at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in 2008, with a thesis titled ‘Unfixing Place: A Study of Istanbul through Topographical Practices’. She has organised international student workshops and contributed in publications such as Politics of Making by Routledge, First Year Works by ITU, and Besides Tourism by Editions ETSAB.
Ayça Çiftçi graduated from the Department of Film & TV at İstanbul Bilgi University and received her master’s degree from the Cultural Studies Department of the same university. She is a film critic and a member of the editorial board of Altyazı Cinema Magazine since 2005. From 2006 to 2010 she worked as a teaching assistant at Bilgi University. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Department of Media Arts at the Royal Holloway, University of London.
Bager Akbay studied Communication Design at Istanbul and Interface Cultures at Linz Art University, Austria. After his studies at Black Theater as an actor and puppeteer, Bager started to give lectures at various universities on his field and provided consultance to companies within the education and design fields in the last 10 years, and creating artworks at his studio iskele47, Istanbul.
Basak Senova is a curator and designer. She studied Literature and Graphic Design (MFA in Graphic Design and Ph.D. in Art, Design and Architecture at Bilkent University) and attended the 7th Curatorial Training Programme of Stichting De Appel, Amsterdam. She is a founding member of NOMAD, as well as the organizer of "Upgrade!Istanbul" and "ctrl_alt_del" sound art project. As an assistant professor, she lectured in various universities in Turkey.
As a software engineer and game designer, he is using technology in every part of his life
His passion for these topics led him to work with new technologies and to develop applications and games for various audiences. Currently, he continues to work on projects on artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality at VR First BAU.
Burçak Bingöl’s works reflect her dense cultural heritage and her continued fascination with patterns. Through her labor-intensive process of tracing, copying and reconstructing she adopts an analytical approach to ornamentation. Bingöl’s drawings convey an unusual sense of order, although they are largely made up of non-symmetrical lines and patterns.
1997’de İTÜ Mimarlık Fakültesi Mimarlık Bölümü'nden mezun oldu. 2001'de İTÜ Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Bina Bilgisi Programı’ndan “Mekansal Arayüzlerin Kente ve Yaşama Katılımları Üzerine Bir İnceleme” isimli tezi ile yüksek lisans derecesini aldı. Eş zamanlı olarak çalışmalarını peyzaj tasarımına yoğunlaştırdı ve genellikle mimari tasarım ve peyzaj tasarımı ara kesitinde işler, iç-dış mekan ilişkileri, tasarımda farklı ölçeklerde geçişler üzerinde çalışmaya başladı. 2004-2007 yılları arasında İTÜ Mimarlık Fakültesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü'nde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı.
