Evrim Kavcar positions herself as a witness and a dreamer in her artistic practice and focuses on the bizarre and fragile encounters of everyday life. Studying moments which are mind-boggling, though seemingly insignificant, she aims to activate the personal and social, poetic and political memory. She works with spaces and layers of memory and literature. Kavcar completed her BA at MSGSÜ Sculpture Department (2000), her MA at San Francisco Art Institute with the Fulbright Scholarship (2003), and her PhD (Proficiency in Arts) at MSGSÜ (2011).

She exhibited her works in 5th Sinop Biennial, 3rd Mardin Biennial, PiST /// Interdisciplinary Project Space, 28th International Istanbul Film Festival, Künstlerhaus Bethanien, DEPO, HAFRIYAT, Daire Sanat and Berlin Apartment Project. She is a lecturer at Mardin Artuklu University Fine Arts Faculty Sculpture Department.
