After graduating from Middle East Technical University Department of Architecture in 2007, she completed M.Arch program at the same department in 2011. In her thesis, entitled as “On Critique of Architectural Image: Reading Jean Baudrillard through Jean Nouvel” Uslu presents a critical reading on architecture and society through representational tools and its sociology. She still continues her doctoral studies at the same department since 2012 with the intention of investigating architectural judgement and evaluation systems from a critical perspective through spatial and social ethics. She started working as a research assistant at the Department of Architecture of Kocaeli University in 2009, and later in 2016 she also joined the academic staff as as a lecturer at Sakarya University Department of Architecture. During her years of study and academia, she was always in pursuit of creating alternative production methods rather than formal educational programs, therefore she took part in and conducted many study circles, workshops, she’s also awarded with many prizes in different competitions.
