Independent filmmaker, digital media arts researcher and part-time lecturer.

Following her graduation from METU Philosophy Department she started working as a research assistant in METU Audio Visual Systems Research Center (GISAM), Ankara. She has been an active member of Körotonomedya—a collective formed by academicians, artists and intellectuals around GISAM—and VIDEA—an art community composed of artists, video activists working on video theory and practice. She studied for her graduate degree in the Department of Media and Cultural Studies at METU, Ankara. Between 2007-2011 she attended Polytechnic University Integrated Digital Media Institute in Brooklyn (recently NYU), New York, for her second graduate degree and worked with her professors on multidisciplinary-media projects. She directed the documentary project “Trans//crossings” (2018) realized with Şebnem Yücel and Can Gündüz, which has been exhibited on PortIzmirIV as an interactive documentary film. She co-directed the documentary "Dead and Alive: A Documentary on Newala Qesaba" (2015); a short film “Here is Ankara” (2006) with Can Gündüz, the documentary “There and Back” (2013) and the short film “A Waxed Movie” (2006) with others. She currently is a part-time lecturer and carries on independent multidisciplinary projects. She lives in Izmir.
