The production of artist books has become very popular in recent years: Artists use books as a means of production. But what does it actually mean to use a book as a means of production? Artist books are a medium in which the book is problematized as a format and as an object of Art.
The Artist Books workshop will question the medium -books as art objects- and will experiment on how to use ideas and solve problems by producing artist books. The aim of the one week workshop is to construct an action plan in order to read, understand and Express by navigating through the pages of a book.
