Gülçin Aksoy, completed her postgraduate degrees in Art at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She has been managing the Tapestry Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts there, as part of the teaching staff of the Painting Department since 1993. Without separating her artistic practice from her activities as an educator, she has taken a position to both learn and to produce. In addition to her artistic production, she has also been part of several collective projects and initiatives such as  ‘Atılkunst’. She has had major solo exhibitions in Istanbul and Munich and has taken part in many shows both in and outside of Turkey. She still continues to work as an artist and educator.
