Gülengül Altıntaş graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communications, Department of Radio, TV and Film and continued her studies at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) Content Creation for Entertainment Media program. Her short films and video projects were shown at festivals and received awards. She took lessons of screenwriting from professors of various universities including UCLA, NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Hungarian Film Academy, and participated in workshops of screenwriting with the master directors of Turkish cinema. She completed her masters degree at Istanbul Bilgi University, Film & Television Program with full scholarship. Currently she gives classes of screen writing at Kadir Has University Film and Drama Master’s program, provides consultancy for a number of scenario projects and pursues her doctoral studies on Turkish Cinema.
