Much of the emotional reactions, our thoughts on characters and events of the story of a film are shaped by the various cinematographic language elements. In general, the viewer learns cinematic codes of visual culture in early ages and uses this language without analyzing its grammar in the way one learns ones mother tongue and understands it without being aware of its construction. In this seminar, the participants will start to perceive cinema as a language and learn how to analyze its grammar.
