Ahu Akgün completed her undergraduate education in 2009 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Painting, and her master's degree in 2018 at Sabancı University, Department of Visual Arts and Communication Design. Since 2009, Akgün's works have been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries both domestically and internationally. In 2019, she was awarded the 37th Akbank Contemporary Artists Prize. She held her first solo exhibition in Istanbul in 2020. The artist continues her work in her studio in Istanbul and is currently enrolled in the Art Proficiency program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Painting.
