This studio offers an analysis to Eastern "ways of seeing" using the visionary and inspiring traditional methods of miniature making and Eastern imagery. It helps the participants to develop the abilities to transfer the perception of the architectural space into two dimensions, depicting what is seen and what is known.

The result of the program a map of the village is created by the participants using the miniature techniques and methods.

PROGRAM:

4 hours per day (Including 3x10 min eye and hand resting breaks).

1st day: Brainstorming and sketching on depicting not what you see but what you know. Practicing on simplifying architectural structures and sense of space.

2nd day: Practice on 2 dimensional stylization in architectural perception

3rd day: Practice on 2 dimensional stylization in architectural perception; coloring techniques on paper using watercolor and ink.

4th day: Bushwalking, exploration.
